I know many constituents with disabilities face higher disability-related costs from care and mobility needs, so as we tackle global inflationary pressure I am aware of the need to tailor our support to protect those most in need.
From 20 September, those being paid a qualifying disability benefit will automatically receive a one-off cost of living payment of £150 – as part of £1,200 of support for low-income benefit claimants.
These payments will ensure the most vulnerable in our society have the support they need to manage the cost of living - from fuel and transport to prescription costs.
