Some great news for one of Brentwood's best known charities this week from the National Lottery Community Fund.
As part of their COVID-19 response, Fund has awarded a grant to SNAP (Special Needs and Parents) to ensure they are able continue to support Essex families throughout this crisis and beyond.
Throughout lockdown SNAP have been providing a variety of remote support through the SNAP Helpline, telephone appointments for in-depth support with our Family Support Advisers, remote professional counselling, and online resources like the SNAP Information Work and the Coronavirus Family Guide.
More recently many of SNAP’s regular activity sessions have moved to Zoom including Music Therapy, Drama, and Yoga classes. We are also coordinating our specialist parent talks via Zoom covering a variety of topics from the typical challenges to difficulties more specific to the pandemic. SNAP also started hosting live streaming music sessions on Facebook in order to reach more families.
