Brentwood and Ongar MP, Alex Burghart, is calling on local residents to take part in the latest stage of National Grid’s statutory consultation into the Norwich to Tilbury pylon proposal, which would see a line of huge pylons marching from Norwich to Tilbury, including through parts of Ingatestone, West Horndon and Haverings Grove in his constituency.
The consultation started on Wednesday 10th April and runs until 11:59pm on Tuesday 18 June 2024. A public event to allow interested parties to meet the project team will be held in Brentwood on Thursday 25th April from 2pm to 7pm.
Alex said:
“National Grid’s consultation on this plan for massive pylons through my Brentwood and Ongar constituency is coming to town on 25th April. Please do not miss this opportunity to get involved and meet the National Grid team to let them know your views.
“While there are other consultation events happening in Essex, this is the only one in Brentwood, so is a great chance for National Grid to meet constituent and hear first-hand how you feel about the pylon proposals.
“I’ll be heading to the Brentwood Centre on Thursday and hope to see many of you there.”
This consultation is open until 18th June and full details can be found here:
