Congratulations and thanks to all those involved in the Platinum Jubilee festivities across the Borough of Brentwood over the long June Bank Holiday weekend, from fireworks at Ingatestone to a party for residents and businesses in Shenfield - with Crown Street in Brentwood a hotspot of celebration and entertainment for local shoppers.
The Parish Councils pulled out all the stops to make sure bunting and fund was available in abundance. Herongate and Ingrave Parish Council arranged a massive party over several days, and my thanks to all those involved who spent much of their Bank Holiday putting tents up and down, and making sure everything was in place for the greatest fun to be had.
Kelvedon Hatch’s Parish Council oversaw floral tributes in the church, as well as a display of knitting depicting HM the Queen and her corgis.
I made my way around as many of the events as possible, and was delighted to meet so many people celebrating HM Queen Elizabeth’s service to us all in the last seventy years - thanks again to everyone who made it possible and God Save The Queen!
