The Brentwood and Epping Community Policing Team are offering local residents a free taster session self-defence class with local based company Loughton Self-Defence. The session is 90 minutes long and will cover 6 areas - situational awareness, escapes, de-escalation, pre-emptive and defensive strikes, the law, reasonable force and intent and knives and improvised weapons.
Sessions will be held at Loughton Social Club, 8 Station Road, Loughton IG10 4NX. The event is open to all, aged 12+. Please feel free to book a class and/or pass on to others who may benefit. These classes will also be offered at Essex Police's Epping Forest 'Walk With Us' events in May and June.
